Blossoming Flowers Chapter 249
When Jiang Yingyue exited the bathroom, her face had a healthy blush from the water, while her hair was slightly fluffy after being dried with a hairdryer.
Her entire surroundings were filled with the scent of flowers that came from her shower gel.
She was extremely pleased, delighted, and in a good mood. However, when she looked at the bed, she saw that Han Qingshan was sitting still, looking solemnly at her, his hands playing around with what seemed like a business card.
His eyes were unfathomable, his lips curled into a slight smile, but where his usual smiles made Jiang Yingyue feel good, this one gave her a chill down her spine.
"Qingshan?" She asked, puzzled. What could have happened that made him so mad?
"What happened when you went shopping yesterday?" Han Qingshan suddenly asked, his voice low, but it was not dangerous. Instead, it sounded as if he was sulking.
"What happened? Nothing happened, I think?" Jiang Yingyue was at a loss. What could have happened that caused him to be so depressed?
She had already forgotten about the insults, but when she saw the eyes of Han Qingshan, it surfaced in her mind again.
"Do you mean when Mother was bullied?" Jiang Yingyue asked with a frown on her face.
Han Qingshan was also frowning. How could this young man have anything to do with bullying Jiang Yingyue's mother?
"Tell me what happened." It seemed that that was the only thing that could have triggered their encounter, but it was quite strange, so he wanted Jiang Yingyue to explain in detail.
So Jiang Yingyue did. "An old classmate of mother caused problems, but both Mother and I teamed up to create problems for her, so she lost out big time. Then the woman's son arrived and apologized, so we left.
"It was a simple encounter, I did not think too much of it," Jiang Yingyue said after thinking for a bit. "We continued shopping, and soon we forgot about it. No need to spend energy on barking dogs, after all."
Han Qingshan nodded his head. It seemed that this young man was the son of the woman who tried to bully Xun Huiyin.
Knowing this, Han Qingshan snickered. So this man had instantly taken a fancy to his Yingyue? See how he dealt with him!
Jiang Yingyue was still puzzled, not at all sure what had been going on. Seeing her adorable, but puzzled expression, Han Qingshan reached out his hand, ruffled her fluffy hair, and handed her the business card.
"What's this?" Jiang Yingyue was confused. Why would he give her a business card in the morning?
Han Qingshan looked at her, observing every facial expression, but he saw that she was genuinely unsure of what it was, and he felt relieved.
"A young man came by and gave me this. He said it was for you, and he wanted to talk with you. He is waiting for your call."
Jiang Yingyue looked even more perplexed; her eyes were filled with confusion. "A young man? What young man?"
"I think it is the son of that woman from yesterday. He did mention something about an apology."
Jiang Yingyue was enlightened. She looked at the business card, and then she went to the bin and tossed it into it without a second thought.
Seeing her decisive movements, Han Qingshan was stunned, but the slight sense of unease in his heart vanished instantly. She was simply too adorable!
"You don't want to contact him?" Han Qingshan asked, but although he asked this question, the smile on his face had finally turned genuine due to her actions.
"I don't know him," Jiang Yingyue said as she shrugged her shoulders.
"He seemed like he wanted to know you, though," Han Qingshan continued, but Jiang Yingyue just laughed.
"His mother insulted my mother, why would I want anything to do with him? Not to mention, I already have you. Why would I seek connections with an unknown man? That's just silly."
Han Qingshan's vanity was significantly boosted by listening to Jiang Yingyue's words. Her admitting that when she had him, she would need no one else made him immensely proud, and the smile on his face grew at an incredible rate.
Seeing his proud expression, Jiang Yingyue helplessly shook her head. It was clear that her words had made him smug, but she could sense his insecurity and fear from before. Although he tried to hide it well, she could still sense it. Hence she wanted to assure him.
She really meant what she said too. She had no intention of ever breaking up with him, and she had absolutely no intention of finding another man at any time.
This man, although he had apologized for his mother's words, was not someone she wanted to befriend.
But she was surprised. How did he know where she was staying? Her eyes suddenly gleamed.
"Qingshan," she called out, causing him to look at her. "What exactly did that man say? What was his purpose in finding us again, and how did he know that we were staying here?"
Hearing these questions, Han Qingshan sunk into deep thought. This was something he had not considered as he had been filled with other thoughts.
"He must have bribed someone to search your background information," Han Qingshan said after some consideration. "He likely got your mother's identity from his own mother and went on from there on. But this is unexpected. He must have put a lot of effort into finding you."
"Exactly," Jiang Yingyue agreed with him, nodding her head. "So what do you think could make him do that? We only met once, and I never said a word to him. I do not believe in love at first sight; there has to be an ulterior motive."
